Fangs God It’s Friday: Marlow

For this week’s Fangs God It’s Friday, we turn to a vampire who is anything but sparkly. Meet Marlow from 30 Days of Night. This film was based on a comic book mini-series of the same title. The story focuses on an Alaskan town that every year doesn’t see the sun for thirty days during the early part of winter. When a group of vampires learn of this, they decide to this is all-you-can-eat buffet not to be missed.

Danny Huston plays the role of Marlow, who leads the vampires into the town. In the comic book, his full name is actually Marlow Roderick who is actually subordinate to an ancient vampire named Vicente. The roles of Marlow and Vicente in the comic book were combined in the film for Huston’s character.
